From the air...

Here are some GREAT pictures of our farm from the air!
My business partner, Amy, has a friend who has one of those basically parachutes with a seat and a propeller. He did a fly over on 22 April and got these pictures for us!

Thank you, what-ever-your-name-is!

Click on each picture to get a great larger version of it for some AMAZING details!

Enjoy!

Flying North (you can just see Lake Ontario at the horizon)

Coming around facing east now Rt. 350 near the bottom. The cleared area is ours and then a bit into the trees to the east and south. You can see the two lines of grape vines next to the start of out outdoor being graded (100x200).

Turning more southeast now. I love the horizon view!

Almost facing south now. The large cleared area is where out stall board turnout paddocks will be, five total.

Nice shot of how huge the indoor looks!

Little closer...

Little closer...

There we go! The indoor arena (72x160) is quite visible. Then the extension building from the original barn (remember, the one we lifted 3 feet so we could have stalls under?) and then the small gray building will be our lounge/bathroom. And then the little white house with red roof. It looks decevingly small! It is much larger inside!

Swinging fool!

At Grossman's we sell swing sets. I took Beka there today to play on some of them.

She loved it!

Enjoy!

Fran =)

Barn!

We are filling up fast!
We are set(ish) to open 1 May!
We will, from the looks of it right now, be opening up at maximum capacity!

Yeah for us!

Here is a series of shots to make up one panaorama shot or the barn and arena and then over to where the outdoor arena will be.

T-Minus how many days! Very exciting!

Just me,
Fran =)

These two buildings are not connected. The gray one will be our "lounge" area, fridge, microwave, bathroom, and the beige and red is the barn with upstairs being hay/grain storage and downstairs stalls and then a connector part with more stalls to the arena.

Ladybugs and Dirt

I am hoping that ladybugs are not poisonous.
They aren't, right?

Every other day or so we see Beka working something in her mouth. We dig in and find...
A red wing with black dots.
Just the wing...
*sigh*

Merlyn has been eating them, too.

Today Beka and I spend some wonderful time outside. A wonderful spring day on the farm! We walked around along the fence line, then watched the workers building the indoor arena and then we just hung out on what we have left of grass after the construction. I took some pics and then did a little planning on where some garden/flower beds would be going. And with my back turned Beka found dirt...

and proceeded to eat some.

*sigh*

I dug what I could get out of her mouth and all was well.
Then she grabbed another handful when I looked away.
Yup.

At least it was dirt-dirt, not Merlyn "dirt".

She was a little Miss-Serious-Baby for all the picture, too.

Enjoy!

Just me,
Fran =)

Moving Bites!

Well, we did it.
We are moved in to the new house.
It sucked. Sorry for the language, but it did.

The house is no where near as clean now as it was in these pictures. These were taken prolly the Tues or Wed after Easter. We started sleeping here the Monday after Easter and moved most of the stuff over the rest of that week.

The barn is coming along GREAT! The arena is up and the roof/siding is going up now. Amy (my business partner) wants to move her horses in next week. Not really sure if we will be done by then, but we shall see!

Now the un-boxing begins (continues!)

Enjoy!

Just me,
Fran =)

Beka with her walker on the beautiful hardwood floor!

She is SO close to walking!

The sitting/reading area. Our old couch would not fit in the door to the media room, but it looks great where it is now.

The media room. The futon and chair from Beka's room fit through the door. The TV and entertainment stuff works really well in the window nook.

The sunroom. The boxspring did not fit upstairs. So we are sleeping with the mattress on the floor. It works!

Merlyn is loving it here. Except that he has not gotten out much because it is SO muddy with the construction.

The office. We now have our corner desk set up, but besides that, nothing else really has been unpacked. Tomorrow, I think. (I said that yesterday, and the day before)

The Kitchen. I really like it, very open and airy. Though the electric stove is going to take come getting used to!
