On a lighter note...

The weather here has been so awsome. John and I took Merlyn through Highland Park the other day. Everyone was out with their dogs. =) I was wondering, looking at the Lilacs, since it has been so warm here, will they bloom early and mess up the Lilac Festival. We guessed that it will depend upon how the rest of the winter goes.
I made John go by this AWSOME (in the true sence of the word) Austrian Pine that Eva and I found during the Lilac Fest last year. It is still awsome! =)

And there it is, one view anyway!

Today I gave out a few of my resumes.
Scottsville Animal Hospital
Lollypop Farm (Fairport and West)
and Heritage Christian Riding Stable

Then I got home, and the manager from the store I worked at (that I left to go to FL) called me and said that I can have my job back. The she said that she might also have found me a full time job with benefits at a local very nice barn called Equestrian Village. So I called the contact number she gave me and I left a message. I will call again tomorrow morning and then hopefully stop by there.

That's about it for now.

Two posts in one night. Very cool.
I like using links, too. If you could not tell. =)

Just me,

So, here's the deal...

I really have no clue why I was sent home from Florida.

Yea, I was sent home. Not fired, she made it clear that I still have a job with them when they come back to NY.

She (Beth, the owner) brought me into the office and started talking about how one reason they brought me down to FL was to see if I would be a good barn manager. She thinks that I would not be willing to put in the 14 hours a day she thinks it is going to take to run her new faculity. OK, sure, whatever, I said. I was in a great mood when she started the talk. So I was like "OK, thats alright."

So she goes on to say that she knows that I was not happy down there before Christmas and how she did not expect me to go back down there.
"OK" I said. "I am doing much better now, working very hard, as Kim [the trainer], has told you and I am MUCH happier now."
She agreed and said that I was much happier, but she did not think I would be barn manager in the future.
"OK" I said.
Then she said, "So, when do you think you will want to go home, we will help you ship your stuff back."

WOAH.
What?

Yea. I'm still kind of puzzled why.
Talking to Kim, we figured out that Beth never saw past the first few weeks when I was miserable. I came back from Christamas working my ass (sorry John) off and very happy to be there. But she set unrealistic ideals and she had her mind made up after the first couple weeks I was there and turn off after that.

Yea, well, I still don't understand.

But I still have a job with them when they come home.

Yea, right.

Fran =)

I'm going home...for good.

Yup.
I have been sent home.
I have not fully wrapped my mind around it.
I am not really sure why.

I think when I figure it out enough to verbalize it, I will post more about it.

Sorry.

I'll be home Wednesday.

Just me,
Fran =)

Yea yea yea...here I am...

I know...it has been a long time since I have posted anything. Sorry everyone.

Christams went wonderful.
The flights home and back here were alright, though each one (4 total) did not leave (or arrive) anywhere near ontime. Airtran, if you were wondering. the planes were wonderful and the sevice was great, just they were not timley. Maybe it was just because it was Christams, who knows.

Santa was good to me, I got books. Lots and Lots of books. =) Some clothes, but mainly books.

Speaking of books, I am currently reading one of the books I got, Sabriel by Garth Nix. It is really good so far. It is a real easy read, he just tosses you in this magical world and you learn as you read about how the magic works and about the history of the world. Before I started Sabriel, I finished the second book the second book by Christopher Paolini, Eldest. This book was not as good as the first in the series, Eragon. Eragon built a wonderful world and some really great charachters and even added some new ideas into the fantasy world (Eargon's connection with Saphira). Eldest jumped around alot between two stories. One I really wanted to know much more about. I would of been real happy if that was all that was written about, but nope. He brought in another story line and I really did not care for 90% of it. He could of cut a lot of that line out. Then the major revalation in the book I figured out in the first book, so that was almost a let down. It was a good book, for the most part. If you read the first, you shoudl read the second to see hoe Eragon grows and changes, but that is all you will get out of it. =)

So, Florida life is going well enough. I have a campermate. Her name is Meg and she has a dog named Simba. I am working a lot, but it is keeping my mind busy so i do not go to crazy. We also have a new worker, his name is Antonio. He is mexican and he hopfully will be coming back north with us when we leave. Though he says he does not like the cold at all. =) He is an awsome worker though, it will be great to have him come back home with us.

We had our first successful show Thur and Wed. We had two horses show and they did really well. They did not place, but 1- they are still green and 2- there were 36+ horses in their classes. Well, actully one did place. Tex got a 6th in his second jumping round! =)

Well, I think that is it for now.

I hope to be back in NY sometime in the next few weeks, though i think it might only be fore 2-3 days.

Just me,
-Fran =)
